What We Believe
(Partially from Baptist Faith and message 2000)
All Scripture is totally true and trustworthy. It reveals the principles by which God judges us and guides us. It is the
supreme standard by which all human conduct should be tried. All Scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself
the focus of divine revelation.
The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but
without division of nature, essence, or being.
Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the
virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature with its demands
and necessities and identifying Himself completely with mankind yet without sin.
According to the International Association of Biblical Counselors, Biblical counseling seeks to carefully discover those
areas in which a Christian or anyone may be disobedient to the principles and commands of Scripture and to help
him or her learn how to lovingly submit to God's will. (edited)
All humans are created in the image of God and therefore have worth and value. Our problem as we go through life
is that we are influenced by others and life styles that, although they have a feel-good and exciting nature, go
against the way God designed us to grow and establish relationships. We believe that the very best we can do or be
is to follow His plan for life and beyond.
All who want to come and seek help, hope, and healing are welcome regardless of beliefs or their past. Jesus said it
best in Matthew 11:28 & 29;
“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from
Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Also in Matthew 22:37; And He said to him, “ ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your
soul, and with all your mind.”
Jesus told us how to show our love for Him; “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
